A community coconut farm, reachable only by boat

Run by the local community, not by Poomjai Garden alone — a local boat carries you out of our canal to a family coconut farm nearby, where the people who actually work the trees walk you through it.

You'll watch a farmer scale a coconut palm the traditional way, using nothing but a bamboo ladder lashed to the trunk, and learn how a single tree gets used from top to root — the water, the meat, the shell, the leaves. It's about two hours in total, most of it outdoors, and it's one of the clearest ways to see what "community-run" actually means at Poomjai Garden: this tour puts money directly into a neighboring farm, not just into us.
