The Bangkok summer has arrived, and while the city heat begins to rise, Poomjai Garden remains a sanctuary of cool air and dappled sunlight. If you’ve visited us before, you know the feeling: stepping off the canal-side path and into the embrace of our iconic Spanish moss.

After a few quiet months of tending to our trees, we are thrilled to update our blog and welcome you back to our 100-year-old lychee orchard in the heart of Bang Khun Thian, Thonburi.

When people think of Poomjai Garden, they immediately recognize the long, shimmering veils of Spanish moss that hang from our ancient trees.

It is the ultimate "hidden gem" experience: sitting beneath the silver-green canopy, listening to the water, and forgetting that the bustling center of Bangkok is just a short trip away.

A Summer Blast with Stenden University & Global Travelers

This February, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting a vibrant group of students from Stenden University, alongside many FIT (Free Independent Travelers) from around the world.

The garden was alive with energy as our guests dove into our hands-on cultural workshops. From the focused art of wrapping Khanom Tako (traditional pandan puddings) to the precision of Thai fruit carving, it was a joy to see a new generation connecting with authentic Thai canal life. > “Poomjai isn't a museum; it’s a living classroom where heritage is something you can touch, taste, and create.”
